Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualifications for their respective apprentice trades. The trade-wise eligibility criteria are given below.

Important Eligibility Conditions
- The minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 24 years as on 30 November 2026.
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks are required for Diploma and Graduation qualifications. The minimum is 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
- Part-time, correspondence and distance education qualifications are not eligible.
- Candidates whose qualifying examination results are awaited on the eligibility cut-off date are not eligible.
- Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB or MCA are not eligible.
- Candidates who have previously undergone apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act are not eligible.
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates: 3 years.
- PwBD candidates: 10 years, with additional relaxation as prescribed for reserved categories.
