Bihar School Librarian Eligibility Test BLET 2026 – Apply Online, Eligibility, Exam Pattern & Fee

• Candidate must be an Indian citizen and a resident of Bihar.
• Candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university with at least 45% marks.
• A 5% relaxation in the minimum prescribed marks is available to eligible SC, ST, EBC, BC, Divyang, Women and EWS candidates as per the notification.
• Candidate should possess a recognized Bachelor's Degree in Library Science.
• Qualifications recognized under the applicable Bihar School Librarian rules shall be considered as specified in the official notification.

The minimum age required is 21 years as on 01 August 2026. The maximum age limit is category-wise as given below.

Additional age relaxation is available for eligible Divyang and Ex-Servicemen candidates as per the provisions mentioned in the notification.

• Each question carries 1 mark.
• There is no negative marking.
• Exam mode is Computer Based Test (CBT).
• Exam duration is 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes).

The Library Science section will be based on the syllabus applicable to the Bachelor's Degree in Library Science in recognized universities of Bihar.

• Library Science – 100 Marks
• General Knowledge – 50 Marks
• Total – 150 Marks

Where normalization is applicable, the result will be determined on the basis of the Normalized Score rather than the raw score.

The examination fee can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI.

1. Visit the official BLET 2026 application portal.
2. Complete the candidate registration process.
3. Generate and verify the OTP.
4. Note the User ID and Password received after registration.
5. Login to the application portal.
6. Enter your personal and educational details carefully.
7. Upload the required photograph, signature and certificates.
8. Preview the application form and verify all details.
9. Pay the applicable examination fee through the available online payment gateway.
10. Submit the application form.
11. Download and keep a hard copy of the submitted application form for future reference.
