Negative Marking
There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks (1/4th mark) for every incorrect answer in both the Preliminary Test and the Written Test. Candidates should attempt questions carefully to avoid unnecessary deduction of marks.
Preliminary Test Syllabus
The Preliminary/Screening Test will be conducted only if the number of applications received is high. The test is qualifying in nature and is conducted solely for shortlisting candidates for the Written Examination. Marks obtained in the Preliminary Test will not be considered while preparing the final merit list.

Written Test Syllabus
Candidates shortlisted in the Preliminary Test (where applicable) will appear in the Written Examination. The Written Test consists of 100 objective-type questions carrying 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. A minimum of 40 marks is required to qualify for the next stage.

Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
Candidates qualifying the Written Examination will be shortlisted for the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). The test is qualifying in nature and evaluates the practical computer skills required for official work. Six times the number of advertised vacancies (category-wise) will normally be called for the CPT, subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification.

Interview
Candidates qualifying the Computer Proficiency Test will be shortlisted for the Interview. Three times the number of advertised vacancies (category-wise) will ordinarily be called for the Interview. The Interview carries 10 marks, and candidates must secure at least 03 qualifying marks. It is mandatory to appear in the Interview; otherwise, the candidate will not be considered for the final merit list.

Final Merit List
The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the Written Test and Interview. The Preliminary/Screening Test is conducted only for shortlisting (if required), while the Computer Proficiency Test is qualifying in nature.
Important Notes
- The Preliminary/Screening Test will be conducted only if the number of applicants is high.
- Marks obtained in the Preliminary Test will not be considered while preparing the final merit list.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in the Preliminary and Written Tests.
- The Computer Proficiency Test is qualifying in nature.
- Appearing in the Interview is compulsory for candidates shortlisted for that stage.
- The final selection will be based on the combined performance in the Written Test and Interview, subject to qualifying the Computer Proficiency Test and fulfilling all eligibility conditions.
