The Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Ministry of Defence, has released the official notification for CGEPT 01/2027 & 02/2027 Recruitment 2026 through the Coast Guard Enrolled Persons Test (CGEPT). A total of 365 vacancies are available for Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch), Yantrik and Hygienist-I posts. Eligible candidates can apply online from 06 October 2026 to 21 October 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the post-wise educational qualification, age and other eligibility requirements prescribed in the official Indian Coast Guard CGEPT notification.

| Navik (General Duty) | Candidates must have passed Class 12th with Mathematics and Physics from a Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) recognised board. The post is open to male and female candidates. The prescribed date of birth differs for CGEPT 01/2027 and 02/2027. |
| Navik (Domestic Branch) | Candidates must have passed Class 10th from a COBSE recognised board. The post is for male candidates. For CGEPT 02/2027, the prescribed date of birth is 01 November 2005 to 01 October 2009. |
| Yantrik | Candidates must have passed Class 10th and hold a 3 or 4-year AICTE-approved Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics or Telecommunication (Radio/Power), or the specified approved diploma route after Class 10th and 12th. The post is for male candidates. |
| Hygienist-I | Candidates must have passed Matriculation or ITI or equivalent qualification from a Central or State Government recognised board. The post is for male candidates. |
| Age Limit | Navik GD: DOB between 01 November 2005 and 01 May 2009 for CGEPT 01/2027 & 02/2027. Yantrik 01/2027: DOB between 01 May 2005 and 01 May 2009. Navik DB 02/2027 and Hygienist-I 02/2027 have separate prescribed DOB ranges as mentioned in the official notification. OBC candidates get 3 years and SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation where applicable. |

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through multiple stages of the Coast Guard Enrolled Persons Test (CGEPT). Candidates must qualify the applicable stages and satisfy the prescribed medical and document requirements.
- Stage I – Computer Based Examination (CBE)
- Stage II – Physical Fitness Test, Assessment & Adaptability Test, Document Verification and Recruitment Medical
- Stage III – Identity and document verification, pre-enrolment medical and other verification formalities at INS Chilka
- Stage IV – Final verification and authentication of original educational and other documents
- Final Selection – Subject to medical fitness and successful completion of all prescribed recruitment stages
