AFCAT 02/2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the required nationality, age limit, educational qualification and other eligibility conditions prescribed by the Indian Air Force before applying for AFCAT 02/2026 Recruitment.

Educational Qualification
- Flying Branch: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics and must have a Bachelor's Degree with minimum required marks or BE/B.Tech degree.
- Ground Duty Technical Branch: Candidates must have BE/B.Tech degree in relevant engineering disciplines as mentioned in the official notification.
- Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch: Graduation/Post Graduation in relevant subjects such as Administration, Accounts, Education, Logistics, Meteorology and Weapon Systems as per branch requirements.
Marital Status
Candidates must be unmarried at the time of commencement of training. Marriage is not permitted during the training period.
Physical and Medical Standards
Candidates must meet the prescribed physical and medical standards of the Indian Air Force. Final selection will be subject to medical fitness after the AFSB testing process.

AFCAT 02/2026 Selection Process
The selection process of AFCAT 02/2026 includes multiple stages. Candidates have to qualify each stage to get selected for training in the Indian Air Force as commissioned officers.
Stage 1: AFCAT Written Examination
Candidates applying through AFCAT Entry have to appear in the online computer-based examination. The exam will test candidates in subjects such as General Awareness, English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, Military Aptitude and other relevant sections.

Stage 2: Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Interview
Candidates shortlisted after the written examination are called for the AFSB testing process. The AFSB stage evaluates candidates through intelligence tests, psychological tests, group tasks and personal interview.
- Stage I Testing: Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PPDT).
- Stage II Testing: Psychological Tests, Group Tests and Interview.
- Candidates recommended by AFSB are called for further medical examination.
Stage 3: Medical Examination
Candidates recommended by AFSB undergo medical examination conducted by Air Force medical authorities. Final selection depends on medical fitness and merit position.
Stage 4: Final Merit List
The final merit list will be prepared based on candidates' performance in the written examination, AFSB interview and medical fitness. Selected candidates will be allotted training as per Indian Air Force rules.
AFCAT 02/2026 Training
Selected candidates will undergo training at Air Force training establishments. After successful completion of training, candidates will be commissioned as officers in the Indian Air Force.
AFCAT 02/2026 Exam Pattern
